Dear MSA Families,
Welcome to the Fall 2010 season! On behalf of the entire Medina Soccer Association board, I would like to take this opportunity to welcome back our returning players and coaches and also welcome in our first time participants and their families.
Medina Soccer is continually looking to improve our program and I am excited to be able to update all of you on a couple of very exciting new additions for the upcoming soccer season.
First of all, MSA is pleased to be joining forces with Soccer Shots to offer an introductory program for our 3 & 4 year old future soccer stars. Soccer Shots is run by Joe Herman, who is an assistant coach at Medina High School for the defending Ohio State Champions girls soccer team. Joe has been offering the Soccer Shots program throughout Northeast Ohio for the last 5 years and has had very positive feedback from all the participants. Please visit www.soccershots.org or www.medinasoccer.org for the details or to register.
Also, as you may know, MSA has been instrumental in bringing an indoor soccer facility to Medina for this upcoming winter. As it stands today, the plans are to begin excavation in the next week and to have the soccer facility operational in January of 2011. This will allow MSA to offer a multitude of indoor programs from preschoolers to the old timers in the adult leagues.
Finally, I would like to wish all of you a great fall soccer season full of fun and excitement. If at any time I or any of our volunteer board members can be of assistance, please do not hesitate to email us through the MSA website. As always, if you have the desire and few hours per week to give to us, we are always looking for volunteers...from board positions to MIST volunteers, please let us know...
Thanks and I look forward to seeing all of you on the fields this season!!!
